I just came across a notebook from a while ago with all these poems I wrote and decided to post one.
You have a lifetime to be boring.
A lifetime to live in reality.
Childhood only lasts
so long.
Only a few chosen years
where we can be pirates and mermaids
astronauts and firement.
A few years where it's ok
to be something yet
not know how
to spell it.
That decade or so
when it's ok to believe in
Santa and the toothfairy
because magic is real
and ghosts do exsist.
When fairies are little people
with wings,
not a bad name to call
homosexuals.
When you don't know how many
different types of people
there are
and how many different ways
there are to kill
someone.
A few chosen times when
boys still have cooties
and girls don't judge one another
on appearances.
When the horrors don't exsist
and the wonders and magnified
ten fold.
Take advantage of that time,
because you have a lifetime to be boring.
